3M 851 PCB Savings Tape is made of polyester with a rubber adhesive and silicone for PCB masking or other high temperature applications. Its thickness is 100 µm. This product helps to reduce bleeding. The core of the roll is made of polyethylene instead of cardboard. It also has a polyester backing which reduces stretching and recovery of the tape. This also helps to achieve a uniform line of dema rcation. It requires no pre-heating in the oven. Even if the surfaces are not homogeneous, the tape can still adhere to them without difficulty because of the polyester backing which reduces stretchin g and lifting.
