PTFE 5491 3M™ tape uses an extruded polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film backing. Ceruban offers an e xtremely low coefficient of friction that, combined with a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive, cre ates a smooth, non-stick surface on a variety of substrates to help move materials in many types of flatbed applications. It resists curling when unwound from the roll and is flatter than PTFE film ta pes, creating a more uniform non-slip surface. PTFE is chemical resistant and can be used as a tempo rary chemical barrier. The tape has a wide temperature range, from -65°F -54°C to 500°F 260°C, makin g it suitable for a variety of applications.
