The Indian government and Evolis work hand in hand to enable 60 million Indian living below the poverty line to benefit from health insurance.

In this scheme, the Indian government has chosen the Evolis Pebble printer, a high quality smart card printer. The project has already seen the deployment of 300 Pebble color printers in India with personalization of approximately 800,000 cards within a few months.

Those cards list biometric fingerprints, medical records and personal status information. They enable the hospitals and the insurance companies to have precise visibility on provided medical care.
